A retreat only works if the location does two things at once: it has to be far enough from ordinary life that people actually disconnect, and close enough to an airport that getting there is not itself exhausting.
Jerina Mansion sits in that gap. It is a private house in the hills above Tirana, twenty minutes from the city and around forty from the international airport, with no through traffic and no neighbours. We host yoga and wellness retreats, small company offsites, and the occasional writing or creative group.
Why the whole house matters
Retreats run badly in hotels. Participants disappear to their rooms, the group never forms, and the sessions feel like meetings. Taking a whole property changes the dynamic — everyone eats together, the conversation carries on after the session ends, and the facilitator is not competing with a lobby bar.
Because the villa is booked exclusively, the schedule is yours. There is no other group arriving at eleven and no breakfast service that closes at nine.
Space to run sessions
Groups use the villa differently depending on what they are running. The lawn and pool terrace work for morning movement sessions, and there are two separate living rooms indoors — useful when one needs to stay set up as a session space while people still have somewhere else to sit. A cinema room doubles as a screening or presentation space for company offsites, and the firepit takes the evening conversations that are usually where the real work happens.
If you need a specific setup — mats, a circle of chairs, a screen for a company offsite — tell us in advance and we will have it ready rather than improvised.
Food is most of the experience
On a retreat, catering stops being a convenience and becomes part of the programme. We cook for the group rather than leaving them to it, and we will build the menu around whatever the retreat calls for — lighter and plant-heavy for a wellness week, more substantial for a working offsite.
Dietary requirements across a group of twelve are normal for us. Send them through when you book and they will be handled quietly.
The recovery side
The pool, the heated jacuzzi and the firepit do a lot for a retreat without anyone having to schedule them. We can also arrange massage at the villa, which most wellness groups build into the middle of the week.
Practical points for organisers
- Capacity — six bedrooms and six bathrooms, up to 16 residential guests. Day retreats can be larger.
- Length — most groups stay three to five nights.
- Transfers — we run a van and driver, which for a group arriving on scattered flights is far simpler than taxis.
- Season — spring and autumn are ideal for retreats. The weather is warm enough to work outdoors and the villa is quieter than it is in high summer.
- Connectivity — good wifi for offsites, and enough separation between spaces that a call in one room does not disturb a session in another.
Making it easy to price
We quote retreats as one figure covering the villa, meals, and transfers, rather than leaving you to assemble it from separate suppliers. That makes it far easier to set a per-person price for your participants and know your margin before you sell places.
If you are planning a retreat and want to talk it through, email reservations@jerinamansion.com with your dates, group size and what you are running. We will tell you honestly whether the house fits what you have in mind.
