We have hosted weddings here
This is not a house that occasionally allows a wedding. We have run several, and the property is set up for them: a lawn and a pool terrace that both work as a ceremony setting, a pergola dining area that seats a long table, and a dedicated makeup room indoors so the bridal party gets ready together instead of queuing for a bathroom mirror.
The villa is only ever booked exclusively. No other guests, no function room, no wedding running in the hall next door.
What it costs
Around £100 per person, covering the villa, the food and the drinks. For sixty guests that is roughly £6,000 for the venue and the catering together — which is the part most UK couples find hard to believe until they see the quote.
It comes back to you as one written quote, not three suppliers to chase. Flights, photography, flowers and anything you want bringing in from outside sit on top; we will tell you plainly what is and is not in the figure before you commit.
Our guide to what a wedding in Albania actually costs breaks the figure down for 40, 60 and 100 guests, and lists exactly what sits outside it.
If you are weighing us against Italy or Greece, we have written an honest comparison of the three, including where the other two are the better answer.
The setting
- Ceremony on the lawn or beside the infinity pool, with the hills behind you
- Dinner outdoors under the pergola, which has its own two bathrooms, a changing room and an outdoor shower
- Dancing after dark around the firepit, as late as you like
- Golden hour over the valley — the light at sunset does work no decorator can match, and it is where most of the photographs end up coming from
Numbers, honestly
The villa takes a ceremony of up to 180 guests — considerably more than most private houses of this size, because the lawn and the terraces carry numbers the building itself never could.
A seated dinner usually runs 80 to 100, and more is possible depending on how you want the tables laid. Send us your guest count and we will tell you plainly what works seated and what works standing, rather than selling you a format the space does not suit.
Sixteen people sleep at the villa, across six bedrooms each with its own bathroom — normally the couple, both families and the wedding party. Everyone else stays in Tirana, about fifteen minutes away, and we run a van and driver to bring them up and take them back. That solves the taxi problem and means nobody has to stay sober to drive.
The legal side
Most couples we host handle the legal formality at home and treat the day here as the wedding itself — the ceremony, the people, the photographs. That is the simplest route, and it is what the majority of destination weddings in Europe do.
If you want a legally binding ceremony in Albania, the requirements for foreign nationals are set by the Albanian civil registry, and UK couples should check current guidance from the UK government before planning around it. We will help where we can with timings and local contacts, but we will not pretend to be the authority on the paperwork — get that confirmed from the official source.
Our guide to getting married in Albania for UK couples covers the legal route, the costs and the order to decide things in.
